The 14th China Kunming Import & Export Commodities Fair

Kunming Fair is a regional economic and trade fair jointly sponsored by seven provinces, regions and cities in Southwest China and assisted by several domestic and overseas organizations. Owing to the concerted efforts made by sponsors and assistors and support of relevant state governments, Kunming Fair has been held successfully for consecutively 11 times since 1993. The Fair has played an important role in promoting the open-up of China's southwest regions to the outside world. In particular, it has devoted remarkable contribution as a bridge to establish closer ties and friendly cooperation among China, Southeast Asia and South Asia countries.

Kunming Fair is held with new opportunities and challenges as economic globalization intensifying, the construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area stepping forward and the Regional Cooperation of the Pan-Pearl-River-Delta-Economic-Zone switching on. Only by deepening the reform and blazing new trails can we seize new opportunities and reach a new level of development. Kunming Fair is geared to the Southwest Asia and South Asia and gives full play to its role as a platform in the construction of China-ASEAN FTA and broadening economic cooperation with South Asian countries.
